WHAT IS INTERFAITH HOSPITALITY NETWORK?

It is a mission within St. Michael and outward into Fort Wayne. This is a national network that has been proven and is now being organized as an interfaith outreach mission in Fort Wayne. There are currently 11 Fort Wayne congregations, including St. Michael, that will provide this loving outreach to homeless families within Fort Wayne. Approximately every 3 months, our church will provide housing for a seven day time period in the youth house for homeless families. In addition to housing, it will be our responsibility as a congregation to provide 3 meals a day, and eat breakfast and supper with the families. It is also our responsibility to provide at least two individuals each night to take turns sleeping in the youth house with the families for the seven-day period.

We love because He first loved us. The message is that simple. Because of the love and forgiveness given to us by our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, we , as loving Christians are to minister to our fellow man, woman and child. This mission allows us to be the loving servants that Christ commands. Please give this mission your consideration. Pray about it, think about it and discuss it among your families, cell groups, and organization groups. Consider providing a meal or spending an evening with others - providing love as Jesus first loved us - without question.

This mission is a wonderful outreach into our community and a wonderful way for you to walk in Jesus' steps and love as He first loved us!
